Reep is built on a zero-knowledge architecture, which means the most sensitive information in your vault is encrypted before it reaches our servers. This Privacy Policy explains what data we do collect, how we use it, and your rights. Reep is operated by Reep Tech Ltd, located at Hilltop, Nsukka, Nigeria.
1. Data we cannot access
Because Reep encrypts vault contents client-side using keys only you and your designated beneficiaries hold, Reep Tech Ltd cannot read, modify, or search the contents of your vault. This includes passwords, seed phrases, documents, messages, and any other assets you store.
2. Data we do collect
To operate the service, we collect limited account information such as your email address, profile name, billing details (for paid plans), and technical logs related to service delivery. We also collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the platform.
3. How we use your data
We use your account data to authenticate you, process payments, deliver notifications (such as heartbeat reminders and guardian alerts), provide customer support, and maintain the security of the platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Cookies and analytics
Reep uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use privacy-focused analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with the public website. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
5. Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account and vault data at any time from the app settings. When you delete your account, we remove your vault ciphertext, account metadata, and associated records from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@reep.cc.
7. Compliance design
Reep is designed to align with GDPR principles including data minimization, purpose limitation, and user control. Our release framework is also designed to align with RUFADAA, giving fiduciaries a lawful path to act on digital assets. Reep does not currently hold independent third-party certifications; compliance is achieved through architectural and policy design.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the app.
