These Terms of Service govern your use of the Reep platform, operated by Reep Tech Ltd, located at Hilltop, Nsukka, Nigeria. By accessing or using Reep, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Service description
Reep provides a digital continuity and inheritance platform. Users store encrypted information — such as credentials, documents, messages, and instructions — and designate guardians and beneficiaries who may receive access under verified conditions defined by the user.
2. Digital custody, not ownership
Reep acts as a digital custodian. We do not claim ownership of any content you store in your vault. You retain full ownership and control over your data, subject to the release conditions you configure. Reep employees cannot access the plaintext contents of your vault because encryption is performed client-side with keys only you and your designated beneficiaries hold.
3. Account security and responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, recovery keys, and any device used to access Reep. Reep is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized access due to your failure to protect these credentials. We strongly recommend enabling multi-factor authentication where available.
4. Guardians and beneficiaries
You are solely responsible for selecting, verifying, and updating your guardians and beneficiaries. Reep facilitates the release process according to the conditions you set, but we do not independently verify the legal status of beneficiaries or the validity of guardian claims outside the mechanisms described in our platform.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Reep to store or transmit unlawful content, malware, or material that infringes on the rights of others. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to Reep systems. Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your account.
6. Subscription and billing
Certain Reep features require payment. Subscriptions are billed in advance according to the plan selected. You may cancel or downgrade at any time; the Eternal Plan is a one-time fee that covers extended post-death vault maintenance under the terms displayed at checkout.
7. Limitation of liability
Reep is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reep Tech Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, digital assets, or access to accounts, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Reep shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the app. Continued use of Reep after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
